How Europa TV Works
From your home ADSL router, we have a Multicast Addressing connection to our CISCO Gateway Router in Madrid that divides all ADSL traffic as either IPTV with priority or universal traffic (website browsing, downloading, emailing, messaging etc).
Because you have Multicast Addressing from your ADSL router to our Headend in Madrid (where all the IPTV equipment is located) we can offer you SUPERB QUALITY!
How to watch on your TV
- From your ADSL router you connect a standard RJ45 router cable to your IPTV Set Top Box and the Set Top Box to the TV using a standard SCART cable.
- All 3MB ADSL customers of Europa can watch Europa TV from their PC or Laptop with no need of a Set Top Box.
How to watch on your computer
By clicking on the PLAY button on our website, the software player is sent to you by our server, which occurs instantaneously. You can select what content to view with a full listing of what’s on via our Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
Delivery is fast, secure, reliable, consistent, and controlled, without requiring the user to install any software.
We deliver the experience “end to end” with no 3rd party software needed. It just works!

Europa TV (using the Set Top Box) : Frequently Asked Questions
- What do I do if the picture keeps breaking up?
- This happens because your Internet speed isn’t fast enough to stream the channel you want. Either wait for a maximum of 3 minutes or reboot your STB (unplug the power connection and then plug in again).
- What do I do if I have a power-cut?
- Your STB should come back on automatically (always to BBC1). If this doesn’t happen please unplug the power connection to your STB and plug in again.
- How do I rebook the STB?
- Take the power line out and put it back in - it will reboot automatically.
- My ADSL keeps dropping out - what can you do to help?
- Call Europa. We can see the history of your ADSL connection, and advise you on the best course of action.
- My TV is in one room and my ADSL router is in another room - how can I watch TV?
- You need to extend your internet connection, either with the “plug & play” Powerline which we supply, or you’ll need to purchase a longer Ethernet cable. The Poweline allows you to have internet access via the power points in your house - it works! You can stream IPTV to different points of your home. These units come as a pack of 2 with 200mb streaming capacity and cost 49€ + IVA.
- Can I watch one program on my PC (via IPTV Viewer) and another program on my TV (via STB)?
- Yes you can, as long as you have sufficient ADSL speed. With 6mb you can watch 2 different channels and still have standard use of the internet.
- I only have 1mb ADSL - is there anything that I can watch or listen to for free via Europa Network?
- You can listen to 4 BBC radio channels with excellent quality from your PC. All FTA (Free to Air) channels viewed from our IPTV Viewer are delivered as High and Low Bitrate streams - a High Bitrate stream at 1.5mb and a Low Bitrate stream at 0.85mb. So, you can watch TV channels at 1mb, but the quality will be slightly less than the standard High bitrate stream.
